The inhabitants of 20, rue Pasteur in Châlons-en-Champagne had a funny visit this Thursday, July 7 in the early morning. A deer ended up in the yard of their building. The police were notified around 8 a.m. Previously, the animal had been reported wandering on the side of the remand center. The capture of this brocade of a good sixty kilos was not easy. The trapper from the City of Châlons had to be helped by three police officers and two firefighters. Together, they finally managed to catch the deer at the top of a small staircase.
The animal did not let it go: “He broke my landing net!specifies the trapper. You have to be very careful with brocades because they have enormous strength, which is increased tenfold by fear. » Their antlers are fearsome daggers and their kicks can be very dangerous.
Once captured, the stray deer was placed in a cage. The firefighters took care to cover his head with a jacket to calm him down. They then released him in the fields. It is not uncommon for wild animals, such as deer, wild boar or even foxes, to roam the streets of Châlons at night.
