With Tesla Cybertruck products inching closer, we now have our first glimpse of the electric truck’s massive frame thanks to a new photo taken from inside Giga Texas.
Several weeks ago, two Cybertruck corpses were discovered upon arrival at Giga Texas. Both bodies were covered in white plastic, but the internet truck’s clear silhouette was impossible to hide.
Now it looks like Tesla has started working on one of those bodies, and a photo of it has been leaked.
Tesla enthusiast Kim Jawa shared the photo in a video posted Friday afternoon. According to Kim, she received the photo from an anonymous source, but could not provide further information about it.
Update at 9:59 PM PT: Kim said Tesla motor The photo was taken late last week, probably the first or second day of December.

One thing that was noticeable in the photo is that above the Cybertruck is a sign that says “Powder Coat” and based on the white left side of the Cybertruck’s frame, it appears to be partially coated with some overspray.

Another detail that we can see in the image is that this Cybertruck frame appears to be composed of at least two separate pieces. The rear appears to be a solid casting, either with two castings, one for each side of the truck, or one casting with both sides attached to the bed, although the angle of the photo makes it hard to tell.
The front of the truck doesn’t look molded and looks more like the 30X cold-rolled stainless steel that Tesla says will be part of the Cybertruck’s exterior.
The other feature that many fans have been asking for is a walk-through from the bed of the truck to the cab, but from the angle of the photo, there doesn’t appear to be one.
Based on a factory drone flyby, the 9000 ton IDRA Gigapress. The ones that will be used to produce the Cybertruck have not yet arrived at Giga Texas, so it is likely that it was produced offsite and brought to Austin for additional work. As we said above, this could be one of the bodies that Han re-arrived at Giga Texas in October.
Even without the Giga Press, it’s a good sign that Tesla is making progress and is on track to meet its goal of starting Cybertruck production in Giga Texas by mid-2023.
