Plum app launches crypto-trading with BitPanda

Plum now offers its French, Belgian, Spanish and Irish usersto buy and sell cryptocurrencies. L’mobile app focused investment offers this new service in partnership with Bitpanda.

This Tuesday, the British fintech Plumpublisher of the application of the same name, announced the launch of its cryptocurrency trading service.

App users based in France, Belgium, Spain and Ireland now have the option to buy Bitcoin but also four other digital coins with BNB, ADA, ETH and SOL.

Our clients in the EU want to explore crypto as an asset class, so we’re excited to bring this new service to them in a fast and secure way. […] We decided to offer five most established tokens at this stage because we want to simplify financial management for people and encourage a long-term investment approach instead of short-term trading,” commented Victor Trokoudes, fintech boss.

Today many finance mobile apps like Revolut, Lydia and more recently N26, allow investing in digital assets. Like the Berliner N26, Plum chose to turn to the Austrian crypto-exchange Bitpanda to launch its service.

Founded in 2016 in London, Plum has raised a total of $53 million through multiple funding rounds. The company, which is regulated by the FCA in the UK, boasts of serving over 1.5 million customers.
