the date of entry into production deleted, no release in 2022?

Tesla’s website no longer mentions the Cybertruck’s manufacturing start date. Previously, the page dedicated to the electric pickup indicated that it would enter production in 2022, as promised by Elon Musk at the end of 2021. The removal of the date seems to indicate a possible further postponement of manufacturing and delivery.

The Cybertruck is long overdue. It is perhaps even the car that has most tested the patience of motorists. Indeed, the 100% electric pick-up was announced in 2019, but it is still not available for sale. Not a single one of the reserved vehicles has been delivered, while Tesla, its manufacturer, opened pre-orders in 2020. And there are many, since we reported in August 2021 that the brand had registered 1.2 million reservations .

When will the futuristic electric pick finally be available? Officially, the first orders will be honored in 2022. In August 2022, Tesla announced a first postponement “during 2022” after several months of rumors about a postponement of the launch, in order to give priority to the model Y. Then, in September 2021, Elon Musk announced that the start of production of the Cybertruck wouldn’t begin until late 2022, joining the also-delayed Semi and Roadster models.

Tesla erases from its site the date of the start of production of the Cybertruck

So no more news. If you went until very recently to the Tesla site, you could see a date on the Cybertruck product sheet: ” start of production in 2022 “. However, this is no longer the case. The Anglo-Saxon site Edmunds.com reports that the mention has been removed from the site. It has not been changed to another date. It was just deleted. Obviously, this is not a very good sign. Because this implies that deliveries will not start in 2022. And unlike previous postponements, today there is no deadline.

This isn’t the first time Tesla has deleted important business information about the Cybertruck. In October 2021, the American brand decided to erase any mention of the models and prices of the vehicle. Remember that several engines are expected, with one, two, three or four integrated engines. The version with two engines has also been widely acclaimed during pre-orders, while the model with a single engine could be abandoned, despite an attractive purchase price: less than 40,000 dollars.
